With the trees’ leaves turning shades of red and yellow, autumn marks the cyclical return of the seasons. This tour offers a special opportunity to meet a horticulturist from the City of Geneva who cares for, cultivates, and maintains the MEG Garden throughout the year. Through his perspective and daily work, you’ll discover the choices, expertise, and specific challenges that shape this Garden.
In conjunction with the exhibition “What Is the Future?”, this tour invites you to take a fresh look at this space in the fall and to reflect more broadly on the role of plants, trees, and flowers in the urban landscape, both today and in the future.

An immersive tour led by Myriam Boucris. An experience that invites children and adults alike to dive into the heart of the exhibition "The Future, what’s that ?" at the MEG.
This interactive tour combines songs, music, dance and theatre, offering a sensory and joyful immersion, tailored for young children.
A journey into the future, to dream, listen and imagine together.
The tour has been designed for and with children aged 4 to 8.
Participants must be accompanied by an adult.
The activity is open to everyone, with or without children.
This event is free of charge but registration is compulsory. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the activity at the MEG reception. -

This workshop-tour offers an exploration of objects from the temporary exhibition What is the Future? and the MEG's permanent collection, linked to the themes of wishes and the future. These objects will serve as a starting point for reflection on what the future represents in different cultures and for each individual.
The tour continues with a creative workshop, where participants design their own stamps. These stamps will be used to print wishes on a collective fresco, creating a shared and meaningful work of art.
This activity combines cultural discovery, personal expression and artistic creation, while inviting participants to imagine possible futures together. Practical informations

This workshop-tour invites teenagers to explore the future in a creative and personal way, by imagining different scenarios, expressing their emotions and linking their aspirations to their current experiences. Through discussions and a variety of materials, everyone is encouraged to share their vision, question norms and discover the diversity of possible paths. This workshop-tour, led and designed by a psychologist specialising in working with teenagers, offers a supportive space for teenagers to express their ideas, reflect on the future and share their vision of what lies ahead.

A visit during which a discussion space is opened up to address the issue of racism by evoking the role of the museum institution in its construction, and inviting participants to question their own posture towards racism. Through various activities that encourage observation and reflexivity, participants reflect on how "races" have been invented and justified by institutions such as museums, through the construction of the image of the other, the strange, the exotic, which feeds differentiation and the prejudices at the root of discrimination mechanisms. Students will also understand the role and position of Switzerland in the global history of modern racism (in relation to colonization and slavery) and how these representations are perpetuated and socially transmitted to us.
Visits are led by the association Dialogue en route.

This journey invites youngsters to transform themselves into salmons to cross seas and rivers, discovering stories and narratives that reveal different ways of understanding and caring for the world. First, we'll head to Alaska to meet the Tsimshian people, then follow the ocean currents to northern Australia, in the Torres Strait. From there, we'll head upstream to meet a young Aboriginal boy, still in Australia. This journey allows children to explore different visions of the world through stories enriched with sensory moments, observation, listening and games.
