MEG has invited twelve people from different communities to tell their personal, important and often moving stories, which link them to the MEG collections. Each guest chose an object from the Museum's collections, drawn from his or her community of origin. The link that connects them is represented in a photographic portrait and is evoked in an interview, during which each person explains his or her choice.
A new way of looking at the photo is presented, giving participants the power to choose how they are photographed, with the aim of bringing out their intimate links with the objects through selected stagings.
Children will set out to discover these twelve encounters, revealing stories that were unknown until now. These are powerful stories linked to a place, an experience, a present or lost connection, a heritage that MEG wishes to pass on in its turn.
Enriched by the visit, the children will create their own encounter through the representation of an object tree, where they themselves will be at the center of their own story. The mixed technique of collage, paint and canvas will be the medium for creation.
